TW member meeting agenda closed

DM Member meeting calendar is closed for this year and we will look at the new calendar post the AGM. In terms of the Tweet approach, we have a list and the first video is up and running

CA Stated that we should order a microphone, this was unanimous and DM to order. BA asked about branded microphone covers.

Club Matters by MS

There is a new SOP for player appearances.

SJ Dates for an event 30th of Oct, what is the plan for the trust? DM spoken to PD, there didn’t seem to be an appetite to do our own thing.

SJ Let us organise our own event.

MS the defibrillators are all in the registration process, the metal tags are being organized. Signs will be put up once design is complete.

MR We will also erect some signs at the weekend when we are there.

MS It was the right decision to close some parts of the ground; the club will go game by game and be judged on what the expected crowd will be.

CA its probable that people complained as they couldn’t get their own seat. MS probably wasn’t the right decision for some season ticket holders. SJ quite possibly we will never know whether we would have sold more tickets? MS the club media team could maybe have done a bit more in terms of timings, they will no doubt learn from that. RP if they had put the historical data out regarding numbers attending, it may have made it sound better.

Comms

DM RP Early November we will host an X space

MR to look at online telephone number to be ported to any trust mobile whilst hosting hospitality

Away Travel

MR York is sold out; there is a lot of non-members attending as well. We had spot the ball comps and also a tuck shop which was well received. We are looking at 2 buses for Gateshead. There was a great mix of people; the Scunthorpe bus was full as there were no trains for that weekend.

MS the work that DM & MR have put into organising the travel is fantastic and it should be recognised, echoed by BA.

BA There is no pressure on the supporters to spend money on the buses and people like that.

SJ Is there any opportunity to have more than 2 buses for Gateshead

MR yes it could be put on

SJ Is there a policy for abandonment? MR DM If the game is called off there will be no money refunded as the bus will have to be paid for.

DM What is the percentage of people buying away tickets online, or do they go to the ticket office? If so, could we have a QR code to promote away travel? MS The smaller 30-person coach looks like it would be £50 per head so the trust away travel it is still the cheaper option.

Competition Spins

SJ The 27th Oct is the next draw and we will draw games upto the 3rd of Jan 26. Nov & Dec kids shirt draws.

Hospitality

SJ Are we going to continue to host, if not then we need to decide a way forward.

MS Samantha has done a brilliant job looking after hospitality.

RP We need to look at a cheap Pay-as-you-go mobile phone so that winners of hospitality can call whoever is hosting from the trust.

MR I will look at a number online so that it can be ported to any mobile device COMMS to look at this.

Membership

TW 977

Financial/Cash in the bank

TW £11566.17

£448 is ringfenced for defib upkeep

DM Books for Jan 22 to June 25 cost is £1750 plus VAT, yearly £750 plus VAT a vote was motioned carried unanimously

Member meetings

MR took over from DM in the last meeting, it went well although it was not recorded it was very positive.

RP led some conversation regarding players positions and SJ took notes, fans forum and toilets in the Paddock came up, looking at doing some social events, Christmas party got mentioned, MS probably left this one a bit late. RP we may need to look at stewards in the Paddock as gents are going into the ladies’ toilets.

RP maybe look at a sportsman’s dinner – such as Derek Mountfield MS the club would make a room available MS & SJ to look into this.

CUSG Update

Any email coming to the trust regarding CUSG should go through CW. The latest CUSG meeting minutes from 17th of October are below

https://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/news/minutes-october-cusg-meeting-0

Note: The collaboration with the Northwest Ambulance NC stated this event was a trust event

AGM Planning

DM & TW to have a discussion regarding the steps required.

Nicola Cave would be happy to attend as the independent person.

CA is not standing for re-election in December.

DM thanked CA for all his hard work with the trust, and we are very proud of the achievement with the defibs campaign. RP stated CA had done outstanding work

MR do we have a date for the AGM DM it could be the first Sunday in December to be decided.

SJ Nic Cave suggested some sort of social event to get people to come along to the AGM.

MS 7th of December, we would need to be ready by the end of Oct for the expression.

RP could we get an ex-player to do a Q+A?

AOB

DM FSA training matrix needs updating

DM mentioned the plaques for the memorial garden CUSG & CUST both provide £500 each towards the memorial garden, a vote was motioned and carried unanimously

BA mentioned that plants have overgrown and you are unable to see the memorials

RP Is there an opportunity to move the plaques

MS the plan was to get them up and put them on a board, but at the moment there is not enough to put them on a board.

Next meeting – Nov 12th 19:00
